Using the context of the office space, Sylwia Lewandowska-Akhvlediani, a business psychologist, executive coach, and author of the iconic Resilience 21\u2122 leadership program, invites business leaders to an experience that allows them to achieve their business goals much faster.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does a business psychologist help company leaders strengthen their mental strength?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First, he accompanies the organization&#8217;s leaders in the important processes of change, and works on the organizational culture, leadership, relationships, and conscious influence on the entire company environment&#8230;. This is not a one-time workshop, but a close cooperation that lasts on average 2-3 years and includes strategy sessions of the board of directors, individual work with its representatives, and work with the entire system of the organization. Sylwia Lewandowska-Akhvlediani, our Brainer and business psychologist, compares her work to a doctor of Chinese medicine: <em>He must first get to know his patient to assign him the right herbs. In what situations do clients come to him?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Change in the company &#8211; transformation, merger, or change in structure. A business psychologist helps organizational leaders prepare for this situation. With support, they can guide the team through it under conditions that build psychological safety, proper strategic communication, and care for a wide network of stakeholders &#8211; whether management &#8211; board, or company-planet relationships.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leadership &#8211; how to identify and develop leaders of the future? What practices and methods are good to implement in the company&#8217;s culture to become a competitive advantage? Management and leaders try to solve old problems\u2026 the old ways. Walking the beaten path creates confusion. After months of looking for solutions, fatigue also comes, and it&#8217;s hard to recognize the right way. In view of this, does the mentioned way out exist? What can be done to<strong> find it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Case study \u2014 Sylwia Lewandowska-Akhvlediani<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For one-on-one sessions for executives, which last an average of 3 hours, I invite my clients to the Brain Embassy coworking space. The diverse interior allows them to reduce their stress, fatigue, or tension at the outset. This gives them more capacity to hear themselves through my questions and thus find the right solutions. A new place also allows them to take off their masks, and loosen their ossified dependency system and thinking pattern. Being able to move in an unfamiliar environment is also an adventure that gives a lot of inspiration,\u201d Sylwia recalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The <a href=\"https:\/\/brainembassy.pl\/en\/\">coworking space<\/a>, which hides interesting nuances in almost every corner, is also a great place to play with metaphors. When working with clients, Sylwia invites them to experiences that allow her to relate to the problematic business situation they are facing. Here&#8217;s an example: At the Brain Embassy Jerozolimskie, I happen to play chess with clients. At one stage I point out a pawn to them and ask the question, \u201cLet&#8217;s say it&#8217;s you in the current business situation. What can you do to work it out?\u201d. Being able to move the pawn and explore options unlocks the mind a lot. We do this kind of system setup by building on and using the meanings of a familiar game in a way that was previously unknown. In the same location, I also like to meet with the teams in the tree house &#8211; these are very confidential and intimate conversations. We then get down from our chairs and look down on our surroundings. I then ask them: \u201cWhen you take a bird&#8217;s eye view of your problem, how will that change your approach? What more will you notice?\u201d Sometimes we go out to a nearby park, for an outdoor session, which is much appreciated by busy leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In other locations, I love the terraces, the variety of rooms, walls, ceilings, lettering, furniture, comfort, and stimulation of creativity at the same time &#8211; each time whether in a one-on-one or workshop session, I choose the location and room to suit. With access to six different locations, and within them a kind of treasure trove of spaces, corners, and metaphors, I feel I can prepare clients for a truly perspective-changing experience. This causes me, many times when doing international projects, to see participants in meetings and workshops leave the joint activities thrilled and moved (and I know they have been in more than one office, hotel, or conference space). Rank of the body in the process of changing thinking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you know that the arrangement of your body in the present moment affects your mood and mental state? &#8211; Sylwia Lewandowska-Akhvlediani asks this question regularly to make her clients aware of how body posture affects their thinking. In order to work out a complicated situation, they can think, think, and think again for hours over the proverbial piece of paper. What do I suggest then? I invite them to take action. I tell them to get up and move for a while. Getting stuck in pondering is akin to getting bogged down in a moving swamp. This is just a trap! Perhaps a given moment is not the best time to fall into a solution. Therefore, <strong>there is no point in agonizing. Instead, you need to let your head and body breathe<\/strong>,\u201d she adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Sylvia&#8217;s meetings are based on conversation, drawing out situations on whiteboards, but clients mainly work away from the table. A walk in space, a moment of swinging on a swing, riding a stationary bike, or venting energy on the boxing bag we have in the Brain Embassy are just a few ways to open it up to fresh ideas. There&#8217;s a reason psychologists recommend playing sports &#8211; when the brain loosens up, it can start thinking creatively. Our meetings are closer to sparring on the field or mat than a session in a psychologist&#8217;s recliner, Sylwia adds with a smile, we hear from clients that Sylwia&#8217;s style confronts the leader with what they came to her with, on a very deep level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Stepping away from your desk and consciously using coworking space supports the process of change and allows you to unlock your mind, inviting new mental connections.<\/strong> It also turns out to be a much more effective way to stimulate critical thinking, creative problem solving, and perspective shifting than high-energy pondering.
